Glass and plastic bottles, cans, take-away meal wrappers, and containers were the main items collected by Wallingford town councillors and local people during a litter-pick on Saturday morning.
Organiser, Theresa Jordan, said: "It was good to get rid of these things, because they are not bio-degradable, and can cause a lot of problems for wildlife."
Between them, they gathered 15 sacks of rubbish from Kinecroft, Bullcroft, St George's Road, Reading Road, Charter Way, and Wallingford bypass.
