A decision on the future of Cogges Manor Farm Museum in Witney has been delayed by another month.
The museum trustees have asked for more time so they can look into three proposals for the future management of the museum, which has been running at a loss for several years.
A public meeting, due to be held on October 8, has been postponed until Tuesday, November 4, at Cogges St Mary's Parish Church.
The museum is owned and run by Oxfordshire County Council, which is reducing its £250,000 annual support over the next two years.
The council's cabinet will now review the three schemes, one involving a Witney-based community enterprise group, at its meeting on November 25.
David Bond, acting chairman of the Cogges Manor Farm Museum Agricultural Heritage Trust, said: "The trustees feel they need more time to make decisions on Cogges' future.
"They feel the current timetable does not allow adequate time."
