Sir — On a day that the front page is devoted to the proposed eco-town 'to bring in 15,000 new jobs,' (Report, September 12) and the leader covers the Grenoble Road development of 3,000 houses and the re-development of Westgate, it is easy to see the important role being played by the paper.
It is also interesting to see views set out in correspondence. For readers interested in finding out more about the planning system, not just local issues, Oxford University Department for Continuing Education run a class where the theory and practice are explored and discussed, starting in October (Tel: 01865 280892).
