Just over 34 weeks to go, not long to go now, Bump and I have been to the midwife today, everything is in the right place and progressing well, apparently Bump is manoeuvring herself into position for her imminent arrival, this doesn’t surprise me as she has been moving around loads in the past few days.
I’m booked into at the JR for an appointment in 2 weeks time to discuss my date for the c-section, I will also meet my consultant and anaesthetist, apparently I can also request what music I would like played into the operating theatre whilst Bump is being delivered; my friends have been coming up with some rather hilarious options, most of which I care not to mention. However I am the type of person who just says get me in, and then get me out again as quickly as possible, I’m not interested in what music will being played, and if I remember rightly last time round, the surgeons were discussing there big night out whilst extracting my baby, which I found quite amusing and far more interesting than listening to relaxing pan pipes!!
I’ve also got just over 2 weeks left at work, my midwife thinks I’m cutting it a bit fine between finishing work and Bump being delivered, however I know if I’m at home I’ll just be ‘nesting’ and cleaning the house over and over again so I’d rather be kept busy at work. Lets just hope my dates are spot on and I don’t go into labour at work – Oh well, there’s always a first for everything and at least I might make the front page of the newspaper.
