Congratulations to Oxford High School's Sixth Formers who have all secured their university places this year, with 25 per cent going to Oxbridge. An impressive 92 per cent of students achieved AIB grades at A-Level, with two thirds sweeping straight A grades.

Some exceptional students were Chloe Brown and Hannah Huang, who gained five A grades, and Naomi Miller in Music (Edexcel) was in the top 10 of 4,233 entries.

In religious studies (Edexcel) Oxford High School secured three of the top 10 places out , of 5,919 entries.

On the basis of their excellent GCSE results, Oxford High School's 16-year-olds from year 11 and those joining from-elsewhere are eagerly looking forward to two years of life in the Sixth Form at Oxford High School.

These ambitious and successful young women can expect to consolidate existing friendships and make many new ones.

They will be intellectually engaged in their chosen four or five A-Level subjects, plus critical thinking, selected from the 24 subjects currently offered at A-Level, and Sixth Form students also have a huge range of extracurricular activities to become involved in.

Oxford High School is very proud of the record of its companies in the Young Enterprise scheme, and for some participants this has been pivotal in their choice of future career.

Membership of sports teams emphasises the important balance between individual fitness, skill and performance and group success.

The strong musical life of the school has at its heart the dedication and gifted musicianship shown by its Sixth Form members.

The same is true of drama productions, which Sixth Formers are encouraged to participate in, direct, and help with productions involving younger girls.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme could not function successfully without the selfless help of the Sixth Formers.

Sixth Form students are encouraged to keep and to continue to develop the breadth of their extra-curricular interests while engaged in a stimulating and exciting programme of AS and A-Level study.
