Oxford residents are putting on a feast for the eyes and stomach with a riverside food festival highlighting the benefits of local produce.
Tomorrow's festival in East Street, Osney, will include barbecued pumpkin, home-made popcorn, local fruit and veg, and freshly baked cakes — and organisers say most of the food will only have travelled a matter of yards.
Co-ordinator Elizabeth Newbery, of North Street, said: "This is our first attempt at trying something like this.
"It's linked with all the interest in locally produced food tied up with the fact that many people on the island are allotment holders."
The festival is from 2-5pm with activities for children including decorating biscuits and apple bobbing.
