Bomb disposal experts were dispatched to an Oxfordshire industrial estate after thousands of rounds of Second World War ammunition were discovered.
More than 6,000 anti-aircraft rounds were dug out of a trench in Milton Park Industrial Estate, Didcot, after they were found by builders on Tuesday.
Last night, soldiers from the Royal Logistics Corps were continuing to discover ammunition.
Warrant Officer Ken Bellringer said none of the ammunition was still dangerous.
Mr Bellringer said he believed the land used to belong to the Ministry of Defence.
He said: "We’ve uncovered about 6,000 items so far.
"We don’t know why it is here — it’s just something we have come across.
"We’ve been here since Wednesday, we could be here for another three or four days."
James Dipple, managing director of Milton Park Industrial Estate, said: "The objects are old military scrap metal and pose no risk to businesses, individuals or property within the Milton Park estate. It’s business as usual."
