Detectives investigating after a woman's body was found in a house in Banbury said today they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after he walked into Banbury police station, at about 11.30am yesterday, to tell officers there was a body in a house in Mold Crescent.
Insp Neville Clayton said the body had been removed from the scene and a post mortem has been carried out.
The woman has not yet been identified, but it is hoped a formal identification will take place later today.
Insp Clayton added: "I would like to reassure the community that a man has been arrested and, at this time, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry."
