A man who embarked on a violent rampage and stabbed a dog to death with a Samurai sword has been jailed.
Santigo Taboada, 26, of Loyd Road, Didcot, received an indeterminate sentence at Oxford Crown Court today after pleading guilty to three assaults, aggravated burglary, two counts of damaging property and three for carrying an offensive weapon.
Judge Julian Hall ruled Taboada was a danger to the public who must serve at least three years in jail before he can be considered for parole.
The court heard Taboada forced his way into a house in Didcot last May, trashed the property, stole cash and attacked the homeowner a sword He then walked to a neighbours house and launched a second attack on a man before he grabbed a pet dog and stabbed it to death with the sword in the middle of the street.
