Police have appealed for witnesses after knife-wielding robbers kidnapped a lorry driver then stole his truck containing £40,000 worth of Toblerone chocolate bars.
The Polish driver of a white Scania articulated lorry was dragged out of his vehicle at knifepoint as he parked in a lay-by on the A41 between Bicester and Kingswood at 10.15pm on Monday, September 8.
Two hours later he was dropped off in Warwickshire and managed to flag down a passing car and alert police.
His lorry was discovered abandoned in Worcester at 5am and the chocolate inside was recovered. Police believe the lorry may have been abandoned at a pre-arranged drop-off point ready for collection by other offenders.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
