Four robbers forced their way into an Oxford house and attacked a man and woman inside police have said.
The men barged their way into the house in Bonar Road, Wood Farm, Oxford, at about 9pm on Thursday.
They attacked a 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman inside then stole an X-Box, computer games and two Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
Police described one of the robbers as black. He was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood. He was said to be aged between 20 and 22, was 6ft tall and stocky.
The other offenders were described as black, white and mixed race.
All were wearing casual clothing with hooded tops.
Police released information about the attack today.
Dc Simon Hannam said "The man suffered nasty facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"This is a particularly distressing incident and both residents have been left shocked. "I urge anyone who may have seen these men or any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact me."
