A woman was cut from the wreckage of her car and airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A420 on Saturday.

Paramedics were called to the collision involving a black Peugeot at Southmoor, one mile before the Stanford-in-the-Vale turning, at about 2pm.

She was air lifted to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The westbound carriageway was closed for almost two hours.
