Police are appealing for information after a bag was stolen from a car in Summertown.
The car was parked in South Parade at about 3.15pm yesterday when someone knocked on the window and gestured that there was a problem with the rear of the car.
The driver, a man, got out of the car to have a look and the thief reached in and stole his bag from the front passenger seat.
The thief is large, with a swarthy, dark skinned complexion with short black hair.
PC Tom Coyne, based at St Aldates police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the thief in the area at the time of the incident to contact me.”
