Police raided a house in Oxford at dawn today and arrested two people for drugs offences.

Around 20 police officers and dogs trained to search out drugs burst into a house in Cavendish Drive, Marston, shortly after 6am.

A 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A and class C drugs and are now being questioned at St Aldates Police Station.

Officers carried out a comprehensive search of the semi-detached house and found a small amount of class A and class C drugs.

The raid was carried out as part of Operation Falcon, an ongoing operation to target drug users and dealers in the Marston area.

Pc Jon Shaw said: "The Marston and Northway Neighbourhood Team has been receiving information from the local community about drug related issues . This information has been very useful and without it we would have been able to obtain today's warrant."
