The response to our organ donation appeal has been staggering.
We knew Oxford Mail readers were kind-hearted, but to have 245 of you sign up every week for the past six months was truly unexpected.
There is a real need out there for organs. People are suffering life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and are desperate for new hearts, kidneys and other organs.
Organ donation is something many of us put off for another day: something we mean to do eventually.
But every day, people need your help.
Look at the case of Katrina Thornton. Her father gave his kidney to her nine years ago.
Now, with her condition returned, her sister is hoping to be able to donate one of her kidneys.
We’d all do anything we could for our family, but Katrina is indeed very lucky to have these offers.
Some people are not so fortunate and those are the people you could help. Seize the day and register through oxfordmail.co.uk
