Woodstock's town mayor is calling for a ban on Game Fairs at Blenheim Palace unless steps are taken to avoid the traffic chaos which swamped this year's event.
Strong words indeed.
Peter Jay called the long traffic queues a "catastrophe" and amounted to a "grave violation of the public's rights and welfare".
Let's hope the authorities can conjure up a plan to ease the jams.
But, to be honest, it would be a shame for the area to lose the fair.
Can't we just grin and bear it?
