...but there is a cloud to that silver lining.
I did not chunder, I beat my mentor (soz Dickie) and beat my PB by a minute.
However, we were well beaten into second place in the team trophy by Siemens Magnet Technology, whose five runners combined to run seven minutes faster than ours.
Disappointing but hey ho.
I know I can go a lot faster but I have to focus on the tri training with Blenheim so close.
I swam hard on Friday night (accompanied by my usual bizarre combination of cramps) and then again on Saturday morning at Cassington Gravel Pits.
We then had a load of first timers to the pits to try open water swimming ahead of Blenheim ( click here to see a video). It was great - I was a 'shepherd' and diligently swam with my flock.
It made me think of last year when it was all new to me.
I can't believe this has become such a huge part of my life.
Still, and this is no advert for McDonalds, I'm Lovin' It.
