It's been a tough few days.
Little one has had conjunctivitis plus is teething (which seems to have been going on forever).
Last three nights are a bit of a blur.
I couldn't go in to work on Monday because her eyes meant she couldn't go to nursery.
It's weird because during the day she's happy and smiley, but at night she's really tearful and restless and that means little sleep for her and no sleep for me.
When her eyes started to get red and weepy I took her to Tesco's pharmacy where a big friendly man gave me some eye drops and told me to administer two drops, four times a day.
The woman serving next to him gave me a look as if to say: "Yeah, good luck with that!" And she obviously knew what I was letting myself in for.
Himself and I have been trying to give her the drops together.
Basically he holds her arms down, and shouts: "Quickly do it!!" whilst I hold her head whilst also trying to prise open her tightly screwed-up eyes.
- She screams holy murder.
God knows what the neighbours think.
What makes it worse is that when she cries she now says "Mummmmmmmmmmy" in a really plaintive little voice.
Makes me feel like even more of a witch.
Well, she's having a nap so I am off to drink some gin.
Well coffee.
Need all the caffeine I can get at the moment.
Could be another long night ahead.
