It was the most amazing feeling!

I had been out with my best mate the night before and it ended up being a late (but fantastic) night so I spent the next day chilling out on my bed. I was trying to get my feet to stop throbbing and the swelling to go down.

I was lying there talking to Squidge asking if it had enjoyed its Chinese and dancing when suddenly I felt this kick!! It was like it was trying to respond lol I couldn’t believe it at first and so I kept my hand there just in case it happened again! and it did! Not once not twice but for the rest of the day it was getting stronger each time Wow!! It was great, I shouted for my mum who was in the other room and she put her hand on my belly! She felt Squidge kick too!! I have never felt so happy in all my life!!

This little person was growing inside of me! yes me! no one else!! This was what I had dreamt of for years and cried thinking it would never happen.

I do wish that I had the father there too so he could be just as excited as me and I would have someone to share this moment with but that will never happen and I have to get used to that. I still get lonely and would love to be taken out for a meal or a night in on the sofa with a really nice bloke but hey I waited 10 years for my baby I can wait for however long it takes to find Mr Right!

Bump is now getting nice and big and lots more people are starting to comment about it. I keep getting told that I am “blooming” or “glowing” so far this pregnancy has been fantastic apart from the back pain I could not have asked for it to go any better! Lets hope it continues that way and I have an easy labour and a well behaved child ha ha!!
