Oxfordshire comes under the Thames Valley Police force, which also covers Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Thames Valley Police is the largest non-metropolitan police force in the country, serving 2.1 million people and an area of 2,200 square miles. The new single number for Thames Valley Police is 0845 8 505 505.
Calls using this number allow people to choose one of three options, so calls are put through to the person with the correct skills to either report a crime, dial an extension or be put through to the switchboard for general enquiries. For emergencies, you still need to call 999.
