Oh what a week!!
Back In September the company I work for was taken over by a company called Enterprise. A lot of changes were made but this did not affect me (at the time).
Back in April we were told that all finance functions were moving and that we would either be made redundant or re deployed. Luckily (or so I thought) I was one of the people that got offered a different position.
The last few months have been boring as hell!! I was not given any work to do and kept getting told just to hang in there and that things will change soon Well this week the changes have come in place and they have decided that I am no longer needed in this role!! Amazing how they can decide this seeing as I have never had any work to do? Was it because I was pregnant?
I have been in touch with CAB (citizens advise bureau) as i was confused and worried about what to do next! How will this affect my maternity leave and pay!
All I worry about is my child, it is bad enough that I am going to have to be a single mother trying to cope but without a job it will be a nightmare!
I have had two interviews now within the company for admin roles which hopefully I will be successful for but wont know until next week! So fingers crossed hey!
On a positive note!
I had my 16 week check up with my midwife this week and she seemed very pleased with my progress.
She took my blood pressure and then we listened to the baby’s heart beat.
Little monkey kept moving around! Ah Bless must have been feeling a little shy but we did eventually hear it and she was said that everything was fine. What a relief!!!
I know that I have been listening at home but I was really worried that with the stress and worry of everything that it might have been affecting my little squidge (don’t ask why I call it that!
No idea just better than it or thing ha ha ) !!
I am becoming obsessed now though with listening on my Doppler! I listen nearly every night!! I find it amazing.
A friend of mine came up to me in the pub the other day and said that he has been reading my diary’s in the paper but was very confused by my picture!
He didn’t know what I was holding and thought it was a music player of some sort!! Ha ha Its nice to know though that my friends are supporting me and reading them though so THANK YOU!!
