Goring Library has reopened following a six-week refurbishment.
The library, which reopened on November 16, has been given a complete redecoration, as well as some new additions, including moveable shelving to allow larger events to be held and charging ports.
Surplus shelving and a counter from another library have also been repurposed to reduce the cost and environmental impact of the project.
Councillor Neil Fawcett, Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet member for community and corporate services, said: "This newly refreshed library provides a lovely new space for people from all over the local community with a great range of books and so much more.
"This has been a real team effort, with the local community, our volunteer group, our staff, and suppliers all pulling together.
"We have been lucky to have been supported by South Oxfordshire District Council, and the Friends of Goring Library, who also helped raise funds needed to buy some new books and hosted an event to celebrate the reopening.
"We are confident that local people will love the changes, and they now have a library that is modern, warm, welcoming and better able to meet their needs."
The refurbishment is part of an ongoing project to modernise Oxfordshire’s libraries and to improve accessibility.
It was made possible thanks, in part, to developer funding applied for through South Oxfordshire District Council.
