A dead body has been recovered from water at the River Thames in Oxford.
The body was found today (December 3) by police, with support from Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire, near Osney Mead.
Formal identification is yet to be conducted but police believe it to be missing person Fintan, aged 18, who was reported missing in Oxford on Wednesday (27/11).
Fintan’s family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Detective Inspector George Atkinson, based at Oxford Police Station, said: “Sadly, we discovered the body of a man in the water near Osney Mead this morning.
“Our thoughts remain with Fintan’s family at this difficult time.
“We would like to thank Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire for their support and assistance, as well as members of the public who shared our appeal and helped us in our search.”
