The M40 on the Oxfordshire border was blocked after a car burst into flames.
At around 7am today (Monday, December 2) a car fire broke out on the M40 Eastbound junction 5, near Stokenchurch.
The road was left partially blocked causing delays as the emergency services raced to the scene and responded to the fire.
Two lanes were then held as the incident was dealt with as firefighters from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the blaze.

Three miles of congestion were reported as drivers waited in standstill traffic in the commuter hours after the fire severely slowed the road.
Bus services were also affected by the incident as a statement from Oxford Bus Company at the time said: “Due to an incident on the M40, we expect delays of up to 40 minutes, on some of our Airline departures.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and advise passengers to allow more time for their journeys.”
