Parents and staff at an Oxford primary school have raised hundreds of pounds for a children's charity.
Oxford High Prep School collected £520.20 for Ronald McDonald House, a charity that supports families in difficult times.
The money was raised through donations at the independent girls' school's Autumn Celebration concerts in October, where children from Reception to Year 6 performed songs about autumn.
The concerts were led by music teachers Sinead Andrews and Nicola Jee.
Ronald McDonald House, located near the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, provides free accommodation for families of sick children and babies in the neonatal unit.
This allows parents to stay close to their children during hospital treatment, offering them somewhere to rest and support each other.
The initiative to support Ronald McDonald House was led by Annette Sweeney, a Year 6 teacher at Oxford High Prep School who said the school had supported the charity about 10 to 15 years ago.
The school said the children were enthusiastic about helping a cause that supports children and their families in times of need.
Mrs Sweeney added: "It is heart warming to see our school community generously donate to such an important cause.
"We are looking forward to visiting Ronald McDonald House and learning more about how our contribution will help families during challenging times."
