The Blackbird Leys community is set to come together to celebrate their area this weekend.
A free event, taking place from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday, December 1, on Cuddesdon Way, will feature carols, quizzes, crafts, and a choir and band.
It has been organised by Suzette McClean, who has urged people to come together to celebrate their community.
Ms McClean decided to organise the event after reading on social media that Blackbird Leys was the worst place to live.
The highlight of the evening will be the countdown to the lighting of a Christmas tree, which will be switched on by two locals.
Members of the community are invited to hang a bauble with the name of a loved one on the 12-foot tree outside the Church of the Holy Family on Cuddesdon Way.
