A well-known historian is set to lead the line-up at this weekend's Oxford Indie Book Fair.
Historian and author Janina Ramirez, who became research fellow in History of Art at Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford, will take part in a discussion titled 'Is There Hope For Creation?' alongside naturalist Hugh Warwick and Canon Rev. Dr. Charlotte Bannister Parker.
This year’s fair will take place at Oxford University Examination Schools on High Street on Sunday, December 1.
Actor, author, and chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, Paterson Joseph, will inaugurate the fair and share his perspective on literature and accessibility.
This year’s event is set to be bigger than ever, with both halls of the Examination Schools in use.
Entry to the event, which aims to celebrate the city's cultural heritage while nurturing a community of readers, writers, and artists, will remain free, as will all talks and activities.
The fair offers a chance for attendees to network with publishers, independent creators, and literary professionals.
Visitors can look forward to a schedule of talks, workshops, and family-friendly activities.
Illustrator Korky Paul will hold sessions for families, as will Pegasus Youth Theatre and Oxford children’s author Paul Gustafson.
Illustrator Ray Mutimer, famed for his work on Postman Pat and Paddington, will also be on hand to share his craft with attendees, while poetry enthusiasts can enjoy the Ignition Press Poetry Slam, curated by poet and editor Niall Munroe.
