Merton Street in Oxford has been named as one of the UK's "hidden gems" by a new study.
Experts at Leeds Locksmiths analysed Instagram hashtag data to reveal the UK streets which are hidden gems.
Merton Street came joint second on the list alongside streets in Chester, London, and Ballymoney.
With just 1,000 posts containing its hashtag, the cobbled lane is celebrated for its centuries-old architecture and proximity to some of Oxford University’s oldest colleges.
Four streets jointly topped the list - Winkle Street in the Isle of Wight, King's Parade in Cambridge, Anita Street in Manchester, and London's Chalcot Crescent.
On a separate list of the most 'Instagrammable' streets in the UK, London's Oxford Street came out on top, followed by Regent Street and Carnaby Street, both of which are also in the capital.
