A company which built and manages a collection of retirement properties in Abingdon has won a national award for a second consecutive year.
Churchill Living, which manages Albert Lodge, received the Gold Award in the Best Retirement Home Developer category at the WhatHouse? Awards 2024, which are considered a top honour in the UK house-building industry.
The award was handed out at an event hosted by actor James Nesbitt on November 15 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Spencer J McCarthy, Churchill’s chairman and CEO, said: "I’m incredibly proud to achieve this accolade for a second year running, which underlines the strength of our business, the quality of our product, and the positive change we strive for on behalf of our sector.
"Awards like this would not be possible without our fantastic team of people around the country, so I’d like to thank everyone across the Churchill Group for the hard work that goes in throughout the year to help achieve this success."
The Best Retirement Home Developer category recognises developers serving the later living sector, considering factors such as commitment and contribution to the promotion and enhancement of retirement housing.
Albert Lodge is a collection of low-maintenance and energy-efficient one and two bedroom retirement apartments.
The Churchill Living Group has built and continues to manage more than 200 developments throughout the country.
