Police have given an update on the manhunt for a wanted man in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) published an appeal to find David Ebsworth yesterday (Monday, November 25), in connection with an assault on Thursday, November 7 in Speedwell Street.

A manhunt was launched to locate him with a photo published across police social media platforms urging the public to come forward with relevant information.

The force is no longer looking for the 41-year-old after officers arrested a man in connection with the investigation.

TVP has also said that officers are no longer appealing for information.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Thames Valley Police is no longer appealing for the public’s help to find a man wanted in connection with an assault in Oxford.

“Yesterday, the force released an appeal to locate David Ebsworth.

“A man has been arrested in connection with the investigation.”
