The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
QUMER HAMID, 41, of Manor Road, Brackley, pleaded guilty, to drink driving a Ford Focus on Buckingham Road, Bicester, on December 20 last year. Hamid was banned from driving for 24 months, but this can be reduced by 24 weeks if a course is completed by January 28 2026. Hamid must also complete 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and must pay costs of £200 and a victim surcharge of £114.
DARYN UWINS, 45, of Brands Hill Avenue, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman in Wallingford on December 17 last year. He must pay costs of £325 and a fine of £108. He must also complete alcohol rehabilitation for 30 days and comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of five days.
ALEXANDER GIBBS, 41, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to 33 counts of thefts from an Oxford Co-Op committed between August 24 and November 7 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £2,695.54. He was jailed for 20 weeks.
LAWRENCE PARKER, 34, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of coconut liqueur and a 10 pack of Stella Artois to the value of £17.48 from Lidl in Cowley on December 5 last year. He must abstain from alcohol until February 11 next year and undergo six months of mental health rehabilitation. He must also comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 10 days. He must also pay £17.48 in compensation. He was also found guilty of using threatening behaviour on the same day and one count of assault by beating. He also pleaded guilty of causing criminal damage to a door keypad at Lidl. He must pay costs of £100 and compensation of £100.
ALEXANDER STEPTOE, 36, of Brays Lane, Coventry, was found guilty of calling the police to cause annoyance / inconvenience / anxiety between February 1 and May 9 last year. He was given a criminal behaviour order of 24 months where he must not contact emergency services unless it's a genuine emergency. He must also pay costs of £150 and a fine of £810.
SEAN MONELEY, 34, of Grove Road, Sonning Common, pleaded guilty to drink driving a BMW on Harpsden Road, Henley on Thames, on July 4 this year. He was banned from driving for 18 months, which can be reduced by 18 weeks if a course is completed by November 7 next year. He must also pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £400 and a fine of £1,000.
