A restaurant at the Westgate Centre's rooftop terrace is part of a chain that has picked up an industry award
Danish-Japanese restaurant group Sticks 'n' Sushi was named Restaurant Group of the Year in the 20 sites and under category at this year’s prestigious R200 Awards.
The annual event from Restaurant Magazine, held earlier this month, recognises some of the country’s greatest restaurateurs, hospitality operators and venues.

Sticks ʹnʹ Sushi will open its 15th UK venue later this month at Battersea Power Station, joining sites in Wimbledon, Covent Garden, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Victoria, King’s Road, Soho, White City, Shoreditch, Kingston, Oxford, Cambridge, Richmond and Islington.
A spokesman for the chain said: "Famed for its unique combination of classic and creative sushi and sticks from the grill, Sticks ʹn' Sushi continues to build on its success with a brand-new menu launch across its estate.
"New dishes include the Temaki Setto - inviting diners to craft their own open rolls with premium ingredients like; wagyu tartare, kataifi, cress, soya sesame, avocado, sake-tamari marinated trout roe, snow crab, and yuzu, all accompanied by sushi rice and crispy nori.
"From the grill, the new Ramu Niku – a lamb stick glazed with garlic butter and soy sesame - and Momo Nanban – fried chicken thigh, perfectly soaked in sweet and sour dashi – join fan favourite sticks including Gindara No Miso – miso-glazed black cod; and Wagyu Yaki - Japanese Wagyu from Kyushu."

The restaurant at the rooftop terrace has a 4.5 out of 5 rating on reviews site Tripadvisor.
One diner who visited last month said: "We are regulars at Sticks 'n' Sushi but this was our first time in Oxford.
"It was great, big space but creatively split up. Food as good as normal and good with an allergy.
"Staff friendly but not always that knowledgeable but they still managed to sort what we wanted. Definitely recommend. They also have a great terrace for warmer days!"
Another diner added: "After going to one in London we decided to go to one on our shopping trip and it was amazing.
"The staff were amazing they were so welcoming. lovely and happy. We sat at the bar as it was quieter and the guy on the bar served us was so welcoming and helpful and I loved the drink he recommended us. All round amazing service and the food and drinks were the best. Recommend here to everyone."
One diner in July, however, was not satisfied, claiming a waiter was rude and that he was told the wagyu beef couldn't be served medium rare.
