Hundreds of non-perishable food and toiletries items have been collected by students and staff from an Oxfordshire school for a foodbank.
Faringdon Community College collected the items for the Faringdon foodbank earlier this month.
The donations included cereal, soup, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, lentils, beans and pulses, tinned meats, vegetables, tomatoes, fish, and fruit, tea and coffee, biscuits, fruit juice, and toiletries.
Administrator and collection organiser, Rose Wood, said: "The generosity of donations has been overwhelming.
"A huge thank you goes out to the Faringdon Community College school community for the support in this appeal."
The foodbank is a vital part of the local community and has been set up by Faringdon Churches Together.
It works in partnership with Faringdon Town Council to provide support to families and individuals.
Deputy headteacher Mark Surowiec said: "Students from all year groups have contributed and the donations go a long way to restocking the Faringdon foodbank."
Headteacher Jonathan Dennett added: "Faringdon Community College is a fundamental part of our local community, and supporting the food bank is an opportunity for the school to make a difference for families within and beyond Faringdon Community College."
The school, which has more than 1,400 students, said it will be arranging a collection of food for festive hampers to go to vulnerable families prior to the Christmas break.
