The driver of a car involved in a major crash on the A34 suffered life-threatening injuries, the ambulance service has confirmed.
The A34 southbound between Didcot and Chilton has been closed since around 1pm after a major crash.
The crash involved a car and a lorry and South Central Ambulance Service has confirmed the driver of the car was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

In a statement, they said: "We were contacted shortly after 1pm with the caller reporting a serious collision on the A34 southbound between Milton and Chilton involving a car and a lorry.
"We sent two ambulances, a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle and the HIOWAA helicopter to the incident. The driver of the car had suffered life-threatening injuries.
"Following treatment at the scene, the driver was then taken by road to the major trauma unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with the air ambulance team travelling with the patient in the ambulance."
