Oxfordshire residents have sent in pictures of the snowmen they built during the first snowfall of the season yesterday.
Snow began yesterday morning at around 6am and got heavier by 7am, continuing for much of the morning.
Yellow weather warnings for ice were issued by the Met Office across many regions of England and Wales, including for Oxford the southeast.
Although the weather caused disruptions to travel, traffic and schools, many residents welcomed the wintry display.
Some went out to their gardens and local parks to build some classic – and some quirky – snowmen.
One university college even built a miniature snow-cat from the flakes.
This picture gallery shows some of the best snowmen from around Oxfordshire.
