Oxford restaurateur Marco Pierre White has visited a pub across the county border where he was treated to "the best pie I've had in years".
The British chef, restaurateur, and television personality was once the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin stars, so, high praise indeed.
At the height of his career, Mr Pierre White quit the kitchen and gave Michelin back his stars. His Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill is at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Oxford.
He is often seen visiting quiet pubs in the English countryside and has now made his way to Wiltshire. So, where can this pie be found?
Posted to a video on The Somerford Arms' Instagram, the 62-year-old could be seen enjoying his meal: "Hello. Here I am in The Someford Arms and let me say this and only once.
"The pint is delicious, the pie is even more delicious. This is the best pie I've had in years at the Somerford Arms in Wiltshire.
"So good, if you don't come you're a fool," before signing off a kiss to the camera with a "Bye bye."
Users in the comments couldn't quite believe it: "You couldn't wish for a better endorsement! Congratulations!" one said.
Another replied: "Now that’s what I call an endorsement."
Someone else commented: "Praise doesn’t come any higher than that".
The Somerford Arms is a family-run Cotswold Pub tucked away in the village of Little Somerford, near Malmesbury.
