Residents of an Oxfordshire town have expressed how much they love a cosy property that’s been put on the market.
The Cottage on Church Lane in Wallingford might be small, but it is beloved in the area.
The two-bed is a snug but exquisite house, listed with Winterbrook for £315,000 and described as ideal for a single person or a couple just starting out.

The charming character property captured the heart of its most recent owner, Stuart Maxwell, who posted about the sale in a community group on Facebook.
He wrote: “After three happy years in Wallingford I have to sell my beloved cottage in Church Lane.
“The more I write about it, the less I want to sell it. But I have to, and that's that.”
Mr Maxwell, a blues musician, described the secret bonuses of the cottage, like the kitchen that’s “better fitted than it deserves.”
“The big secret is that it’s effectively a detached house,” he said.
“I’m a heavy metal fan, the worst kind of neighbour, and after five o’clock, I’ve not had to worry about disturbing anyone. More importantly, it’s dead quiet to live in. And even the yelling yoofs [sic] are good natured.”

He added that because of the location, “your garden is Wallingford”, adding: “There is no better place to live.”
The cottage features open beams and fireplace, French doors onto a courtyard garden and wooden flooring.
