A new family musical show is set to premiere in Oxford.
'Cinderella Ice-Cream Seller’, a creative twist on the classic tale, will run from Saturday 21 to Tuesday, December 31 at The Story Museum.
The show is written and composed by author and musician David Gibb, known for ‘David Gibb’s Family Jukebox’, ‘Luna Loves Library Day’, and ‘Rolling Down the Road’.
The plot picks up after Cinderella's "happily ever after", where she has become a multimillionaire businesswoman with her own chain of ice-cream parlours.
The musical follows employees Talvi and Caldwell as they recount Cinderella’s rags-to-riches journey and explore their own dreams.
Mr Gibb said: "This is a little show with a big heart, featuring nine brand new songs.
"It’s a perfect introduction to theatre for young children, but at the same time this show is designed to be a shared experience and something that everyone can enjoy, including the grown-ups."
The show will kick off its UK tour at the museum before moving on to other venues.
Performances at the venue will run daily from 11am to 12pm, and 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
A 'relaxed' performance is slated for Monday, December 23 at 11am.
Tickets can be purchased from the museum's website.
