The first snow of the winter season has fallen, so we've had a look back through the Oxford Mail archive to find all of the wintery pictures in the collection.
Although it may cause carnage on the roads, require extra manpower to clear pavements, and create havoc for schools and workplaces, we all secretly love some snowfall.
Since we haven't had as much snow in recent years as we used to, we thought we'd look at what it used to be like, in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, in Oxfordshire.

From Banbury to the Botley Road, Bicester to Brasenose Lane, snow was falling all over the counties in earlier decades.
