An exhibition of old postcards is now on display at Abingdon's museum.
The first postcards were introduced to Britain in 1870, and in 1871, a total of 75 million were sent.
Enthusiast Elizabeth Drury has offered the use of her collection for this exhibition at the County Hall Museum in the town.

Senior museum assistant Valeria Cambule said: "All the postcards on display are of Abingdon - it's a good way of showing the town's history."
Postcards on show include images of local hotels, residential roads, schools, churches, almshouses, and the river.
The museum has also displayed interesting messages on the back of some of the postcards.
Staff have also curated a large collection of historical photographs, projected onto a small screen.
The exhibition started last month and runs until December 22.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
