The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
NICOLA HARRIS, 45, of Bartlett Place, Milton, pleaded guilty to drug driving in New Cut Road, Swansea, on March 27 this year and stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey to the value of £42 from B&M Stores in Pontardulais Retail Park, Fforestfach, on April 9 this year. She must pay costs of £85, a fine of £200 and compensation of £42. Harris was also banned from driving for 12 months.
AARON SHALLIS, 47, of Canal Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating, one count of harassment without violence, one count of assaulting a police officer, failing to surrender to the court and using threatening language in Oxford between March 17 and April 5 this year. He also pleaded guilty to 11 counts of theft from the Co-op, in Walton Street, between March 8 and April 17 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £581.11. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a class B drug, namely Cannabis / Cannabis Resin, in Oxford on April 17. Shallis was given a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He must also complete drug rehabilitation for nine months and comply with the orders of the responsible officer for a maximum of 15 days. An order was also made for the drugs to be destroyed and he must pay a total of £250 in compensation.
TAYLOR RUST, 20, of Sands Way, Benson, pleaded guilty to drug driving a Honda Jazz in Victoria Road, Bicester, on May 25 and being in possession of a class B drug, namely ketamine, on the same day. Rust must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £30 and a fine of £75. Rust was also banned from driving for 12 months. An order was also made for the drugs to be destroyed.
HERMIONE HICHENS, 21, of Radcot, Langford, pleaded guilty to damaging a hotel room in Bicester on August 8 this year. She must complete mental health rehabilitation for six months and comply with the order of the responsible officer for a maximum of 15 days.
MEJINDADE NURUAEEN, 40, of Frys Hill, Oxford, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Citroen Xsara on Woodstock Road, Kidlington, on September 21 and driving without a licence and insurance. Nuruaeen was banned from driving for 14 months, but this can be reduced by 14 weeks if a course is completed by July 24 next year. Nuruaeen must also pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £128 and a fine of £320.
