Students held a protest at Oxford University as US politician Nikki Haley arrived to give a talk, condemning her support for Israel.
Oxford Action for Palestine (OA4P) organised the action where more than 70 students gathered outside the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford where the Dean’s Forum was being hosted, with former US ambassador to the UN as the key speaker.
They chanted, waved banners and Palestinian flags during the protest on Thursday, November 14.

A spokesperson for the groups said: “OA4P is sickened that the Blavatnik School of Government (BSG) has invited Nikki Haley to Oxford's campus.
“We are disgusted that BSG considers Haley as worth platforming.
“We will not rest until Oxford ends its complicity in crimes against humanity."
A spokesperson for Blavatnik School said: “The school's mission is to improve government and public policy across the globe by teaching the next generation of public leaders.
“Our students regularly hear from senior officials and leaders from around the world and from different political persuasions, giving them the opportunity to listen, ask questions, learn from those whose journeys and views might be very different from their own, as well as to learn to build coalitions across political divides.”

The disruption of the event caused organisers to close the blinds on the main floor windows when students approached, shouting through megaphones.
One student protester said: “Despite the last-minute notice students were given about who exactly was speaking, the hours in the cold, student protestors showed up and the chanting never ceased.
“This is the bare minimum we can do, and we have a responsibility and an obligation to continue showing up.
“We will not be silent while Oxford University remains complicit in Israeli genocide, apartheid, and occupation.”
