Almost 50 Oxfordshire residents have enjoyed train-based outdoor excursions.

Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership (OxCRP), in collaboration with Active Oxfordshire and Banbury Mosque, engaged 48 residents in the Rails to Trails programme.

The programme supports children and families in accessing nature, boosting confidence in rail travel and promoting physical activity.

Alayne McDonald from OxCRP said: "Seeing families explore nature and build confidence travelling by train is inspiring.

"This project showcases the positive impact of accessible, community-led initiatives in promoting healthier, more active lifestyles."
