A carer from Wallingford is setting up a pop-up shop in the town to sell homemade Christmas gifts and decorations from this Saturday.
Tasha Kennedy and her mum, Fatima, are setting up the shop together, inspired by the crafts Fatima creates with visually impaired young people in her job as a carer.
She decided to set up in an empty shop in St Mary’s Street in the town to sell their festive products after seeing it advertised as a pop-up space.

Miss Kennedy said: “We’re so excited, but I’m also nervous for the opening.
“Opening a shop like this has always been something in the back of her mind, so I’m excited for it to happen.
“Hopefully people in Wallingford will like how festive it is and will come in to buy something homemade from my mum.”
Products will include handmade Christmas crafts, decorations and wreaths, and children will be able to post letters to the North Pole in the shop’s special delivery box.
Miss Kennedy’s mum will continue working as a carer and spend time in the shop, continually crafting things for her customers as they shop.
“Hopefully with support from family and friends we’ll be able to keep it all going,” said Miss Kennedy.

She added that there had already been a warm reception from Wallingford residents on Facebook.
“I didn’t expect it to blow up like it has, I was just hoping for a few likes," she added.
The pop-up will be open for November and December from 10am-4pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am-1pm on Sundays.
