Amy Griffin, poppy appeal organiser for Oxford at the RBL said: "We were immensely grateful to be supported by our lovely choir sisters from other Military Wives’ Choirs, some of whom travelled quite some distance to join us.

"We were so pleased to welcome ladies from Benson, Bicester, Brize Norton, Chicksands & Henlow, Halton and High Wycombe Military Wives’ Choirs.

"Julie from the Abingdon & Didcot Military Wives’ Choir performed seven numbers from their repertoire, one of which is a brand-new song.

"November Sunday is a beautiful lullaby which was written for His Majesty King Charles in celebration of his birth on 14th November 1948.

"Some of the ladies involved in this performance, and others from across the network, recorded the song earlier this year, and following its official release on November 1, we are pleased to say that it is now available to buy from your usual music vendor.

"For those in attendance, we hope you enjoyed their performance, and more importantly, we are extremely thankful for all generous donations raised for the 2024 poppy appeal."
