Richard Hammond has reunited with former Top Gear co-star James May by interrupting filming.

The duo along with Jeremy Clarkson originally joined forces back in 2003 during the second season of the popular car show.

In the 22 years following, the trio have become household names all over the world and Top Gear as well as Prime Video’s The Grand Tour proved hugely popular.

The gang called it quits back in September with one final special which was filmed in Zimbabwe and Botswana being released.

Yet just a couple of months after ‘One For The Road’ was released, two of the famous trio have been spotted working together again.

Mr May and Hammond both feature on an Instagram video post on James May Gin’s official page.

The 61-year-old noticed his phone ringing in the background while filming and said: “It’s Richard Hammond.”

Having answered the call, he said: “What? I’m filming!”

Mr Hammond responded: “So am I!”

“The cameras are actually running as we are coming up with a new gin flavour but it’s top secret.

“I would go with acrylic because then you can just wash it out in water and it won’t make your house smell funny and they dry much more quickly.

“I will ring you back later and talk to you about this at great length.

“I don’t know, I’m in the middle of the countryside.”

After experiencing a bad signal, Mr May told his co-stars in the room: “No, he [Hammond] can’t hear me.”

The call ended and Mr May added: “Why is Richard Hammond calling me about paint?”
