The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
REGGIE RIGBY, 36, of Portland Road, Milcombe, pleaded guilty to drug driving in a Peugeot 207 and possessing a class A drug, namely cocaine, in Oxford Road, Brackley, on June 8 this year. He must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £120 and a fine of £150. He was also given a 14-month driving ban and an order was made for the drugs to be destroyed.
SULEYMAN BULUT, 43, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possessing a class B drug, namely cannabis / cannabis resin, at Manorsfield Road, Bicester, on July 26 this year. Bulut was fined £100 and an order was made for the drugs to be destroyed.
MATTHEW GAMBRELL, 24, of St Michaels Close, Shipton Under Wychwood, pleaded guilty to drug driving a VW Golf on the B4437 Cross Road on May 3 this year. He got a 12-month driving ban and must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £48 and a fine of £120.
ISHMAEL THOMPSON, 33, of Riches Street, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to drug driving and driving with out a licence or insurance in a Vauxhall Mokka on April 20 this year on the M40 southbound between junctions 9 and 8a. He was banned from the road for five years and a jail sentence of 20 weeks, suspended for 18 months. He must also pay costs of £85.
TANAKA MUSHANGI, 34, of Horspath Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to police / court bail. He was given a prison sentence of four weeks, suspended for 12 months and must complete 150 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. He was found guilty of causing damage to a windscreen of a van in Abingdon on May 18 last year, to the value of £443.41. For this, he got a prison sentence of nine weeks, suspended for 12 months. He must also pay costs of £400, a victim surcharge of £154 and compensation of £443.31.
BENJAMIN JARVIS-FOSTER, 34, of Ardley Road, Fewcott, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on April 25 this year at The Exchange in High Street, Banbury. He was handed a community order and must not enter High Street until April 29 next year. He must pay compensation of £100. No order for costs was made sue to limited means.
