Large poppies have been attached to lampposts at two housing sites in Banbury to mark Remembrance Day (November 11).
Developers Barratt and David Wilson Homes have decorated Whitechapel Gardens and The Pavilions with the flowers to honour the nation's fallen heroes.
This year, the Royal British Legion is remembering the courage shown by those involved in conflict in 1944, marking the 80th anniversaries of significant World War Two battles and turning points, including the D-Day landings.
Residents and visitors to the new communities are encouraged to walk past the poppies and think about all those who served in conflicts across the world ahead of Remembrance Day on Monday.
Helen Lewis, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes, said: "As a tribute to all those who lost their lives in conflict, we have decorated our developments with poppies.
"During this time of remembrance, we hope the poppies will prompt Oxfordshire residents to take a moment of quiet reflection."
The Royal British Legion is the country's largest armed forces charity, and the annual Poppy Appeal is a symbol of remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.
Remembrance services will be taking place in towns and villages across Oxfordshire over the weekend.
The service in Oxford will take place at the War Memorial in St Giles on Sunday, November 10.
