What were you doing in 1985? Nearly 30 years ago, the Oxford Mail was out in the county capturing the daily life of its residents.
That year, the Mayor of Witney received a visit from 50 curious children, an Abingdon printing company completed a charity walk, and a community centre fun day hosted a fortune teller.

Children from the Wallingford and Carterton enjoyed playgroups and dodgems, planted trees and staged protests.
Art students painted murals, a dancer celebrated a pizza shop opening, and film star John Hurt stopped by the village fair in Finmere.
