An Indian takeaway in Oxfordshire has been told it needs to improve by hygiene inspectors.
Azeem Indian Takeaway in Radley Road in Abingdon serves a variety of curries and meals with a high popularity rating on Tripadvisor.
Yet one customer, who recently reviewed the food in October of this year, said: “[We had] takeaway lamb biriani with vegetable curry.
“The lamb was tough and the vegetables in the curry were almost raw, bland. Very disappointing.”

Vale of White Horse District Council’s Environmental Health team was also not impressed during its visit on Wednesday, September 25.
Handing the business a poor food hygiene rating of two-out-of-five, the report said that improvement was 'necessary' at the venue.
One major cause of concern was Azeem’s hygienic handling of food, referring to the preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage, which was marked as needing 'improvement'.
Despite these issues, the eatery’s management of food safety was rated as being of a 'generally satisfactory' standard.
This refers to having a system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat as well as if there is evidence that staff know about food safety.

It also concerns whether or not the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future.
Similarly, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and the building were also deemed to be 'generally satisfactory'.
This includes having an appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene.
